Who This Webinar Is For

This webinar is for parents, caregivers, early childhood teachers, GPs, and anyone supporting young children aged 0–5 years.

Understanding speech and language development during the early years can have a profound impact on a child's future learning, communication, confidence, and wellbeing.

This is the information we wish every parent, preschool teacher and GP knew about speech and language development from birth to five years.

Whether you're wondering if your child is developing typically, looking for practical strategies, or simply wanting to better understand early communication, this webinar is for you.

What we will cover

You'll leave with practical knowledge, greater confidence, and strategies you can begin using immediately.

During this webinar we'll explore:

✓ Common myths about speech and language development

✓ What is actually important when children are learning to communicate

✓ The critical language development period and why the early years matter

✓ What is typical, what may require support, and when to seek professional help

✓ Understanding preschool stuttering and when intervention may be beneficial

✓ Practical ways to support communication at home and in everyday situations

✓ How to recognise when "they'll grow out of it" may not be the right advice

✓ Live Q&A with an experienced Speech-Language Therapist

Why we are doing this

At Talk Together, we know that early support can make a life-changing difference.

Too often families are told to "wait and see" or are left wondering whether their concerns are valid. While every child develops differently, understanding what to look for and when to seek support can help families make informed decisions during a critical stage of development.

Our goal is to provide trusted, evidence-based information that empowers parents, educators and health professionals to confidently support children's communication journeys.

What you'll learn at our workshops

Our workshops are designed to give parents, caregivers, and educators practical knowledge and confidence they can start using straight away.

Led by experienced Speech-Language Therapists, our workshops focus on helping you better understand your child's communication, social skills, and development in a way that is supportive, practical, and neurodiversity-affirming.

  • How to support your child’s communication at home

  • Practical strategies you can use immediately

  • Understanding your child’s needs and behaviours

  • Building confidence in supporting development

  • A neurodiversity-affirming approach

Our goal is simple: to help adults better understand children, so children can feel confident being themselves, find their tribe, and thrive in the world around them.

Who are our workshops for

Our workshops are for anyone supporting children and young people aged 0–18 years.

Whether you're a parent, caregiver, grandparent, teacher, teacher aide, early childhood educator, or part of a child's wider support network, our workshops are designed to help you better understand communication, social skills, and development.

You don't need any prior knowledge or experience to attend. Our workshops are welcoming, practical, and designed to provide real-world strategies that can be used at home, in the classroom, and in everyday life.

Whether you're supporting a child who is thriving, struggling, neurodivergent, or simply developing in their own unique way, you'll leave with a greater understanding of how to support them to connect, communicate, and feel a sense of belonging.
