About Us
Talk Together are Christchurch speech & language therapists who provide evidence-based & neurodiversity affirming practices for speech & language therapy and social skills development groups. These services are provided for children between the ages of 0-18 years and their families across Christchurch and wider New Zealand.
Support is provided for all types of communication challenges including language, speech, listening, social skills, reading, writing & spelling. Not addressed, these challenges change the trajectory of children's lives.

Set your child up for a lifetime of great communication and healthy relationships! If your child is experiencing an issue with communication - whether it be mild, moderate, or severe - we want to help. You and your child will enjoy fun & interactive sessions while tackling communication challenges.

None of us take for granted the privilege it is to be let into kid's lives and be a part of their communication journey - they are why we do what we do.
Our Services
WE OFFER OUR SERVICES TO CHILDREN BETWEEN THE AGES OF 0-18
Christchurch-based in-person sessions are an individually crafted program for your child based on neurodiversity affirming practices.
These sessions are conducted at a frequency that will suit your family.
These groups support kids to develop communication skills, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and strategies for managing anxiety with a focus on how to form friendships and maintain them. All while having fun!
We understand that attending an in-person therapy session can be burdensome on busy families and so we offer tele-therapy for convenience and flexibility.
"Thank you for the great work throughout the course"
"A has taken on board the learning, and has grown in confidence about where she sits within her social network and how she portrays herself to others. Many thanks for putting together a great workshop that helps teens navigate this challenging time of their lives!"

Craft Hangouts
December & January School Holidays
We hear from parents:
-
Playdates can be tricky sometimes
-
The holidays can be a lonely time for some kids
-
It can be hard finding holiday activities that are neurodiversity affirming that their kid/s love
-
It's tricky to get some time to yourself or to spend with others.
We hope our Hang Our sessions solve all of these challenges!
Carer support or IF funding can be used for any of these groups.

10-13 years Social Skills Groups
This is the age where things get complicated!
There is often a need to 'read the social scene' in situations that in the past were very 'black & white'.
Our focus here is a smooth transition for kids through this phase and robust skills for making friends and 'keeping up' with the social challenges faced while building self confidence.
